ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ wins SITIVESP Award in Solvents category
The ranking is based on a survey of union members, who evaluate nine categories based on a set of requirements that make a difference in relations between companies, such as commercial policy, quality of products and services, delivery and socio-environmental responsibility.

ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ is the winner, for the second straight year, of the in the Solvents category. Sponsored by the , the award recognizes the work of raw materials and packaging suppliers in the industry. The ceremony of the 31st edition of the awards will be held on November 28, at the headquarters of SITIVESP in the city of São Paulo.
As in 2018, this year ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ placed first in the Solvents category. The ranking is based on a survey of union members, who evaluate nine categories based on a set of requirements that make a difference in relations between companies, such as commercial policy, quality of products and services, delivery and socio-environmental responsibility.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, in addition to being the largest petrochemical in the Americas and the world's leading biopolymer producer, also is a leading company in Brazil's solvents industry . According to Cláudia Madrid, head of the company's Solvents Business, the recognition reflects the company's strategy in this industry, which continues to invest in Innovation & Technology for the development of sustainable solutions to meet growing market demand. "We focus on working in partnership with our clients, offering them the possibility to innovate and stand apart in the industry, which enables us to grow together," said Cláudia.
In October, at Abrafati 2019, Brazil's largest trade fair for the paints industry, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ announced the launch of Hexane RC , the first recycled hydrocarbon solvent, which is derived from the company's polyolefins production process, now treated and sold with higher purity. The company already has annual capacity to offer up to 2 ktons of the new product for the thinner, adhesive and rubber segments.
Recently, the company also launched in the market the first solvent made from a renewable source . HE-70S, which is made from sugarcane and has applications in the paint, thinner and adhesive segments, features lower toxicity and greater solvency capacity compared to traditional hydrocarbon solvents.
